Access To Work

 HOW TO GET THE COST OF YOUR ADHD COACHING COVERED BY THE DWP

Did you know that the UK government’s Access to Work scheme could provide you with up to £69,000 a year in funding to help you succeed at work?

For individuals with ADHD, this funding can unlock access to resources and support that enable you to thrive in your career. From ADHD coaching to specialist equipment, Access to Work is designed to make workplaces more inclusive and supportive.

What Does Access to Work Fund?

The scheme provides funding for a variety of workplace adjustments, including:

  • ADHD Coaching: Up to 14+ fully funded sessions to develop strategies tailored to your needs. (wish means you coaching doesn’t have to cosh you a penny)

  • Assistive Technology: Tools such as transcription software, time management apps, or ReMarkable tablets.

  • Specialist Equipment: Items like noise-cancelling headphones or ergonomic furniture.

Support Workers: Someone to assist with workplace tasks or communication challenges.

Who Can Apply?

You may qualify if:​

  • You live in the UK or it’s your main place of residence.

  • You are employed full-time, part-time, self-employed, or on a zero-hours contract. You can even apply if you’ve been offered a job but haven’t started yet.

  • No formal ADHD diagnosis is required – you can self-identify as neurodivergent.

How Long Does It Take?

The application process can take around 20 weeks due to high demand, but the benefits could be well worth the wait.
